Lintz - "a computer nerd with creative nerves"
sheena@lintzdesigns.com
I've
always had a love of art and computers. I got my first Apple computer
when I was eight years old, in 1991 (which I believe was pretty
close to when the first Apple computer to came out), and have been
a "Mac addict" ever since.
Throughout
my school years I took many art classes in drawing, painting and
sculpture, and in high school, I started working with photo and
design software for the first time. I taught myself graphic design
through trial-and-error, bugging friends with questions, using the
"help" feature in programs and a lot of time spent holed-up
in my home office.
I
attended the University of California, San Diego and received a
BFA in Visual Arts in 2004. In June of 2005, I went to work as an
Art Director for a newspaper and magazine publishing company in
North San Diego County—a great mesh of my creative and technical
skills. I design the advertisements, layouts, website and do a lot
of photo work. Many of the company's clients needed design work
outside of the ads they ran in the publications so Lintz Designs
was born to fill that need. I specialize in working with small businesses
and personal clients.
My
husband, Patrick, and I met in a drawing class and our love of art
and each other has grown over the last seven years. We decided to
offer more than just graphic services since our real passion is
art and creating with our hands. Our combined working experience
in creative fields is over 19 years!

Patrick
Lintz - "the mad torchman"
patrick@lintzdesigns.com
I've
always had an interest in working with my hands. No matter the material,
I can create something from it.
I
was a tile-setter for over five years and when we started using
granite to make countertops, I decided to make sculptures out of
the leftover stone pieces. I took classes at Palomar College in
art and sculpture, which pushed my creativity and gave me experience
in using many different materials including: wood, styrofoam, plaster,
bronze and especially metal.
In
2005, I had a major career change and started welding. I loved the
fire and heat and melting metal and I was soon dubbed by my co-workers
as "the mad torchman" because of the excitement that I
got from it. Over the years I have built large entry gates, trailers,
intricately hand-forged wrought iron doors, equipment trailers,
top quality long travel dune buggies, and most recently, high-end
aluminum mountain bike frames. In 2007, I received my certification
in Structural Steel Welding (GMAW-S CS 3G: ANSI/AWS D1.1 Structural
Welding Code - Steel).
My
wife, Sheena, and I met in an art class and our love of art and
each other has grown over the last seven years. We decided that
Lintz Designs should offer more than just graphic services and that
my experience in mosaic and tile work, welding and sculpture can
make your home and wildest ideas into custom works of art.
